The distance between reality and non reality, some might say, is as larger a gap as reality and fiction. As a definition, reality is the state of things in actual existence other than what lies in our own imagined minds.
I beg to differ.
How many times has a dream, a sleeping ‘fictitious’ endeavor, seemed so real, you remember how it felt, tasted and smelled? By the definition of reality then, our dreaming selves experience reality.
So, which state is which?
Furthermore, if reality is limited to those things in existence, then how do we know when we experience those things which are new to us, if they are real, if they exist or if they are part of our dream selves. How do we know what is an actual existence if those things not in actuality exist also? The line between dream and wakefulness could be considered a grey area, rather like the Bermuda triangle; messages are received and evolve, sometimes beyond our limited human comprehension.
My reality, by definition then, is your equivalent fiction and your reality is my imagined mind.
